Hi

I have a BSA folding bike, the 1970s shopper type with the basket on the front, sold in similar forms under the Raleigh and BSA brands. I'm not sure of it's age, 1970s, it is Gold if the schemes related to date (I have seen Red and Blue ones too)

The frame folds and is held together by a lever and bolt mechanism, unfortunately this mech fell apart and was lost last week, only the lever remains. This is the version with the vertical frame split on the downtube (some have a horizontal break).

Does anybody know where you can get parts for this type of bike?

thanks

Richard

The parts should be around. Sometimes you can rig up something using various bits and pieces from the hardware shop. Worst case scenario if nothing can be found, the two halves of the frame can be brazed together.
